| Typically,
a 5.0 to 6.0 mil DFT will provide excellent protection.
If hide is not a factor, primer thickness can often
be increased with corresponding decrease in the topcoat
(thus saving money). Deep, bright red, yellow or blue
colours can be achieved by using Starpoxy High
Build Primer which is available in bright red, yellow
or deep blue. A single topcoat at 1.0 to 1.5 mils DFT
is commonly sufficient if primer is increased accordingly. |
